The customer journey
When a customer joins your loyalty program through GetLoyal, the experience is frictionless by design. The customer ends up with a wallet pass sitting next to their credit cards, ready to use the moment they walk into your store. Here's what happens step by step.
1. Customer sees your join link or QR code
Your unique join link looks like: getloyal.ai/join/[your-card-id]
You can share this as:
- A printed QR code at the counter or table
- A tap-to-join NFC sticker (optional accessory)
- A link in your Instagram bio, email, or WhatsApp
- A button on your website
2. Customer taps and sees the join page
The join page is a clean, branded screen showing:
- Your logo and business name
- A preview of the loyalty card
- A single call-to-action: "Add to Wallet"
No account creation, no password, no app store visit.
3. Customer adds to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet
On iPhone, tapping "Add to Apple Wallet" opens the native wallet flow in one tap. On Android, the card is added to Google Wallet instantly.
The card now lives in the customer's wallet next to their credit cards — always accessible, always visible.
4. Customer appears in your dashboard
As soon as the card is added, the customer is recorded in your Customers list with:
- Device type (iOS / Android)
- Join date and time
- Branch (if they scanned at a specific location)
- Lifetime points or stamps earned
- Last visit date
Tips to maximize sign-up rates
At the counter
Train staff to ask: *"Would you like to join our loyalty program? Just scan this code."* Conversion is highest at the point of purchase when the customer is already engaged.
On your packaging
Print the QR code on receipts, bags, or cups. Customers often join in their own time after a positive experience.
Online
Add the join link to your Google Business profile, website footer, and email signature. Every touchpoint is an opportunity.
Incentivize the first action
Consider giving 50 bonus points or a free stamp just for joining. A small welcome reward dramatically increases conversion.
Privacy and data
GetLoyal does not ask customers for their name or email to join — the wallet pass is linked to their device. If you want to collect email addresses, you can add an optional form field to the join page from your card settings.
